Lemuel W. and Jennette E. (CLEMMONS) HAMBLIN. Educated in the public schools and attended lectures in Geneva New York Medical College [Ontario County], New York. On 17 July 1861 James Richard HAMBLIN enlisted at the age of seventeen as a private in Company B, Fiftieth New York Volunteer Engineers; was corporal of the company when discharged on 20 June 1865; fought in twenty-three engagements. Republican. In religious belief a Presbyterian. Member of the Grand Army of the Republic. In 1873 he [James Richard HAMBLIN] married [Miss?] Mary J.
