HAHN, shoemaker, Fountain City [Cross Township (per 1878 Atlas), Buffalo County, Wisconsin], was born 12 June 1836 in [Holstein] Germany. He came to the United States in July 1871, and immediately located in Fountain City and commenced to work at his trade of shoemaking. On 17 November 1865 in Germany he [Casper F. G. HAHN] was married to Wilhelmina LANGFELD, by whom he has six children: Henrietta D. T., Augusta M. B., Louise W. K., Magdalena C. C., Karoline M., and Frederick M. [The family of Casper F. G. HAHN is enumerated in the 1880 census of Fountain City, Buffalo County, Wisconsin: Caspar F. G., age forty-four, shoemaker, born in Holstein, by his age about 1836, to parents also born there; his wife, Wilhelmine, age thirty-nine, born in Oldenburg, about 1841, to parents also born there; and the following children: (1) Henrietta (Henrietta D. T. of the bio), age twelve, born in Holstein, by her census age about 1868; (2) Maria (Augusta M. B. of the bio), age ten, born in Holstein, about 1870 by her age; (3) Wilhelmine (Louise W. K. of the bio), age six, born in Wisconsin, by calculation about 1874; (4) Magdalena (Magdalena C. C.), age four, born in Wisconsin, about 1876; (5) Carolina (Karoline M.), age two, born in Wisconsin, about 1878; and (6) Friedrich (Frederick M. of the bio), age two months.
