Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1880, p 677 Ernest ADELMEYER, blacksmith and wagon maker, Section 28 [LeRoy Township, Dodge County, Wisconsin], P. O. Kekoskee [Dodge County], was born in Prussia on 14 February 1850, son of Gottfried ADELMEYER, who was also a blacksmith; he [Gottfried ADELMEYER] came to America in 1854, and settled on a farm in Le Roy, working on the farm and at his trade until his death, 16 October 1872. His son, Ernest [ADELMEYER], was educated in the [Dodge] county, and learned his trade after his father died; built his present shop in 1875; does general blacksmithing and manufactures wagons, carriages, sleighs, cutters, harrows, etc. . In politics, a Republican; he is now Supervisor of his town; is in religion a Roman Catholic. On 27 June 1874 he married Miss Amelia REESE.
