REV. F. FINDER, Pastor of
the Second German Methodist Church, was born in 1840, in Germany. He came to the United States in 1853, and settled in
Dane County, Wisconsin. His collegiate
education was in Quincy, Ill. He afterward
spent one year at the Garrett Biblical Institute in Evanston, Ill. In 1868 he as ordained Deacon by Bishop SIMPSON, and in 1870,
Elder, by Bishop CLARK, in Milwaukee. He is one of the
Board of Trustees of the German Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, and a contributor in
the denominational press. He has had appointments in Milwaukee, Madison, Platteville, Winona and Chicago, and began preaching in
1860. He was married in 1868 to Miss Sophia GROEBER, formerly of Germany. They have five
children.
