REV. CHARLES LEWIS MALLORY,
B.D., Senior Canon and Precentor of All Saints' Cathedral, son of Wm. G. and
Eliza C. (HERRINGTON) MALLORY, was born in the Town of Lyndon, Sheboygan
County, Wis., November 19, 1847; graduated from
Nashotah, Ascension Day, 1872; was ordained Deacon in St. Paul's Church,
Milwaukee, on Trinity Sunday, May 26,
1872, by Rt. Rev. Wm. E. ARMITAGE, D.D., the Bishop of the Diocese;
ordained priest at Grace Church, Sheboygan, on the second Sunday in Lent, March 9, 1873; upon his ordination
to diaconate was assigned to duty in connection with the Cathedral movement in
Milwaukee, with which he is still associated. On the tenth day of December,
1878, he was appointed to the office he now holds in the Provisional Chapter;
has served as Secretary of the Diocesan Council since June, 1875 (Assistant
Secretary from June, 1872, to that date); Secretary of the Board of Missions
since June, 1872; and Secretary of the Trustees of the Funds and Property of
the Diocese since June 28, 1877; Secretary of the
Cathedral Chapter since its organization; has had charge of the publishing and
financial management of the Diocesan Calendar since its beginning in 1874.
